Measuring Mayhem in P4AM

16th Jan 2020

We have been working on length this week and it’s been great fun.  We’ve measured with non standard units such as cubes and paperclips, then moved on to look at metres and centimetres. We can use vocabulary such as measure and estimate.  We understand the importance of having a standard unit and can measure small items using centimetres. Best of all, we enjoyed measuring using metre sticks, tape measures and trundle wheels. We know that 100cm = 1m and can solve word problems using this fact.  Do you know how many centimetres there are in one and a half metres? We do!
