Measuring in P3SG!

27th Jun 2018

In P3SG we have been busy learning all about 'Capacity'. First of all we gathered together a range of different sized containers and estimated how many egg cups of water it would take to fill each container. Afterwards we measured each container and found out how good we were at estimating. Next we learned all about litres. Mrs Glendinnning showed us a range of different sized containers. We had to put them in order from the one which we thought had the largest capacity to the one which we thought had the smallest capacity. Then we measured and actually found out that they all held exactly 1 litre. We were really surprised at this! We also learned that there are 1000mls in 1 Litre. We loved estimating and measuring capacity in P3SG, it was great fun!
