Marvellous May in Primary 4! 🌞

31st May 2025

Primary 4 have had a very busy Marvellous month of May.

We started our new TWAU theme 'It's a Bug's Life' and are really enjoying learning lots of amazing facts about all kinds of minibeasts. We have written fantastic group Poems all about different kinds of minibeasts, and came up with some brilliant adjectives, nouns and verbs together to describe our choices.

We have been very active in May, which links to our Take 5 initiative for this term of 'Being Active'.

We joined an online PE Session with Core Kids PE.
We enjoyed having Daniel from IFA for some football sessions. We worked in groups of boys and girls and had great fun alternating between Football and ABL sessions.
We have been up on the pitch trying out our skills for our Sports Day races.
We also had time to visit the Play Park in the sunny weather and walked some Daily Miles when we had a minute too!

We thought about why we celebrate VE Day and learnt some more about what life was like 80 years ago at the end of World War 2.

We really enjoyed visiting all the stands and stalls of games and activities at the P7 Fair - it was a great morning, thank you so much to all the P7s and their grown-ups for all the work they put in.

Sarah from the EA Nurture team visited us to introduce us to 'Nurture in 5.' We enjoyed taking part in the 5 steps to help our wellbeing and look forward to her next visit at the start of June.

We tried our best and are happy that our computer tests are over.
We have also enjoyed making a new friend who joined us and have had good fun playing together and getting to know each other.

Altogether a great month of May with a very exciting and busy June ahead, with our class trip to W5 planned, a visit from Wee Critters, Sports Day, Fun Days and a Colour Run to name some of the events to look forward to.

Have a look at some of the fun both classes have been getting up to in May!
