Summer Assessments take place over these next 3 weeks - starting on Monday 27th April..... (see more details in Parentmail sent on Weds 22nd April) All P3 -P7 pupils will be taking Standardised Tests in Literacy and Numeracy and will be timetabled to sit these tests in the ICT Suite - please make sure your child is in school each day during this assessment period. Growing Club Programme Success 🍓

P5 Eco Warriors and children from the Sunflower Room have been participating in the ‘Growing Club Programme’ over the last 4 weeks. This programme was organised by Mid and East Antrim Council, supported by Kilwaughter Minerals. We were delighted to be awarded a place on this scheme after our successful application, we were only one of three schools who had this opportunity in all of Mid and East Antrim.

Children have been busy planting radishes, leeks, apple trees, peas, potatoes, pumpkins and beetroots to name a few. Everyone got a chance to try a range of produce, some were more popular than others! The Sunflower Room will be keeping a close eye on these to ensure they get the care and attention they need to grow.

A massive thank you to the staff from Mid and East Antrim Council for their hard work and support throughout the past few weeks. Also a big thank you to Kilwaughter Minerals for supporting this programme, it has provided children with wonderful opportunities. We are so grateful for this opportunity and the donations which were made!
