ECO DAY is coming this Friday 24th April - Pupils can come to school in non-uniform on Friday and if possible wearing something green! Please remember to bring in a clear 2L bottle as we are going to be planting sunflowers on Eco Day. Please wash this and cut the neck of the bottle off before bringing it into school. No milk cartons please! | Little Stars/Big Stars booking for MAY opens on Monday 20th April and closes on Friday 24th April - please see Parentmail for details.  | This week in school we have both the USPCA and RSPB coming into school to host workshops and talks with all year groups - we would like to give both charities a donation. On Eco Day we would appreciate a 50p/£1 donation brought in towards this presentation.  | On Friday there will be a canteen ECO Day themed lunch - see Menu under Parents area for more details. | Home at the start of this week will be an information leaflet about YOUR child's attendance in TERM 2..... this summarises and highlights how the Department of Education rates your child's attendance from Jan-Mar'26.  | School Uniform consultation/feedback - please see Parentmail sent on Thursday 23rd April.  | Summer Assessments take place over the next 3 weeks - starting on Monday 27th April..... (see more details in Parentmail sent on Weds 22nd April) All P3 -P7 pupils will be taking Standardised Tests in Literacy and Numeracy and will be timetabled to sit these tests in the ICT Suite - please make sure your child is in school each day during this assessment period. These test scores will be issued on your child's End of Year report. | Afterschools Clubs begin this week - we are delighted at how popular all clubs have been received this term. Article 15

Every child has the right to meet with other children and to join groups and organisations....👫

This may seem like a strange Article for us to be exploring at the minute. However, we still have the right to meet other children and join organisations but very unusual circumstances mean that we need to refrain from doing this at the minute. The government is trying to keep us all safe. In the future, hopefully not too far away, we will be able to meet our friends 👭 and return to school. Clubs and organisations will resume again. We have a lot to look forward to!🌈

But adults know it  has been very difficult not to see other children and adults outside of our immediate family. Sometimes we could feel sad 😔 and a bit lonely 😞. When we feel like this it can help us to connect with other people. Why not try the following activities to cheer you and some other people up?

Remember to post up your work and spread a smile 😊 !

FS- Draw a picture of someone you are looking forward to seeing again- when it is safe to do so. Write a sentence about them. 🖼

KS1- Write a short letter to your class saying what you are looking forward to doing when school returns. It could be  just catching up on all your news. 📄📃

KS2- Think about a group or club you are part of.🏊🏻‍♂️🏌🏾‍♂️🤸🏽‍♀️ Create a poster or leaflet to encourage other people to join. Make sure to list all of the reasons why it is a good idea 💡 to join this group.
