Eco Team learning to compost

16th May 2018

Barry Tapster from 'Mid and East Antrim' Council came to school during our Eco afternoon and taught us about composting. He told us about what can and cannot go into our composting bins and what helps our food to decay at a faster rate. We learnt lots of interesting facts about compost heaps and how we can utilise ours in school. Our Eco Team are going to go around all of the classes and remind everyone what can and cannot be put into our bins by handing out some booklets on composting that Barry, very kindly, donated.
