ECO Glee in P3

2nd May 2025

What a fantastic, interesting and educational day we had celebrating all things ECO. Our P6/7 helpers were Kaytlin, Ruby, Isabella and Kayla. Have a quick read of a brief synopsis of our day below.

RSPCA

A lady called Lauren came in to explain to us how the RSPCA  rescue, treat and place animals in a nurturing environment. It was wonderful to watch videos of all sorts of animals being helped.

OUTDOOR CLASSROOM AND WALK

Next, we went on a walk and ended up at our outdoor classroom. We sat on outdoor desks and watched and listened to the beauty and sounds of nature.

SUNFLOWER PLANTING

With great anticipation, we lined up with little pots of soil to receive our sunflower seeds. We are super excited and will be watching for the first green shoots of growth.

PLANTING BOXES

Finally, it was time for us to go out to tend to our P3 boxes. Mrs. Anderson told us about all things farming. We planted seeds, developed a farm scene, sampled honey and placed our scarecrows around our crops. We had a brilliant day and want to say a huge thank you to Mrs. Anderson and Miss Simpson for making ECO Day 2025 one to remember.
