Eco Day in P3SG 🐜 🐞 🕷ïļ ðŸŠī ðŸŒļ

24th Apr 2026

What a brilliant day we had celebrating Eco Day. We were all so thankful for the beautiful weather which really helped to make the day a huge success.

Beth and Jaydn from the Eco Team came to help our class, we loved having them and they did a great job helping out.

We started off the day by heading outside to look for minibeasts and we also used binoculars to look for birds.

After break time we planted our sunflower seeds in the greenhouse, everyone got a packet of sunflower seeds to take home with them. We are looking forward to looking after our seeds and we hope that they grow into beautiful sunflowers.

We all got to eat our lunch outside in the sunshine which everyone thoroughly enjoyed.

Finally we went outside and Mrs Anderson helped us to assemble our P3 garden box which is based around our current World Around Us topic 'From Farm to Fork'. We planted some barley and put our lovely scarecrows into our box to scare away the birds. We think our box is looking really well.

What a fantastic day we all had!
