NSPCC "Talk PANTS" fortnight

8th May 2024

Camphill Primary School are supporting the first ever NI wide NSPCC Talk PANTS Fortnight in school, from Monday 6th - Friday 17th May.

Through discussions and activities in every class, we aim to teach our pupils important safety skills without giving explicit information or telling scary stories.

The lessons empower pupils in an age-appropriate way, to recognise their rights to their own bodies, say no to touch that is unwanted and tell someone if they feel uncomfortable.

We will be teaching our pupils the NSPCC’s Talk PANTS rules using the ‘PANTS’ acrostic, which is designed to help children stay safe from sexual abuse.

PANTS stands for:

P – Privates are private

A- Always remember your body belongs to you

N- No means no

T- Talk about secrets that upset you

S- Speak up, someone can help

Please see the Parentmail sent, containing further information and a link to a short webinar for parents/carers.
