What brilliant writers we have in P5MM!
Teaching staff have recently been taking training in the delivery of Writing in the classroom and Mr McCullough was able to try one of the ideas for building a poem.
Using a painting by John Skelton, the pupils discussed the different shades of blue, then used a colour palette to mix their own blues.
This provided the opportunity to ‘build’ a poem called ‘Feeling Blue’ by adding adjectives to make up names for these colours.
There was so much discussion and brilliant examples of different language being used!
