Congratulations to sisters Amelie & Lucy!

14th Feb 2019

Well done to two of our pupils, Amelie (P7) and Lucy (P5) who competed in Dublin on Sunday 10th February in the Swim Ireland National Minor Schools Championships 2019.

Both girls had qualified for this as a result of attending the Ulster Regional qualifiers back in October 2018 in Bangor.

Lucy swam in the girls 9-10years 50m Breaststroke and was placed 21st overall! As this was a national schools final and to be placed 21st in the whole of Ireland this is a fantastic result for herself and school! Well done Lucy!

Amelie swam in the girls 11-12 years 50m Breaststroke and 50m Butterfly. In her first event, the 50m Breaststroke Amelie was placed 19th overall and in her second event the 50m Butterfly she was placed 18th overall!  Well done to Amelie to finish with 2 top twenty finishes in the whole of Ireland! This is a fantastic result for herself and school!

Both girls we hope make future sports stars!!
