Children’s Mental Health Week in P2SH

7th Feb 2025

This week we have been thinking about our mental health as part of Children’s Mental Health Week. We have been doing lots of different activities to think about how we can keep our minds healthy.

We have been doing a variety of activities from our Take 5 approach.

Keep Learning - We have been learning about the different feelings we might experience and how to keep our minds healthy by watching our Mood Buster videos.

(Article 28 -  Children have the right to an education.)

Connect - We have been connecting with others through circle time and playing together.

(Article 31 - Children have the right to play and relax.)

Be active - We have been active using our Super Mood Movers, Daily Mile and dancing. We have also talked about healthy eating and really enjoyed our fruit tasting day.

Take notice - We have enjoyed mindfulness colouring and breathing.

Give - Everyone in the class pulled out a name from a jar and then made a special bookmark to give to that person. We really enjoyed making these and giving them to our friends. We also enjoyed making our Valentines Day craft which we have taken home to give to the people we love.
