Canteen - Availability of Toast on sale at breaktime for P3-P7 pupils

10th Sep 2020

Dear Parent

We are slowly trying to move forward regarding the opening up of our canteen and from Monday 14th September we are now able to provide toast at breaktime for pupils who wish to purchase this from P3-P7.

The cost of toast is £1.50 per week and must be paid on a Friday in advance of the following week.

Please read the following from our School Cook - Mrs Keenan -

  • Toast will be available from MONDAY 14th September at breaktime for all P3-P7 pupils.
  • The cost is as last year 30p a slice of toast = £1.50 per week (EXACT money to be paid on a Friday to order/pay toast for the following week - please note there will be no change given)
  • Toast can NOT be bought on a daily basis (no selected days part-payments) and needs to be 'booked/paid' for in advance - toast is paid for on a Friday for the following week
  • Toast money will be collected each FRIDAY - parents need to remember this as no reminders will be sent. Teachers will try to also remind pupils to record a reminder in their Homework Diary on a Thursday night.
  • Free School Meal children have to pay for toast - £1.50
  • The Kitchen staff will bring toast to the classrooms just before breaktime begins.

NO late orders will be taken - last day for ordering for the week ahead is a Friday and no toast can be bought on a daily basis.

Canteen Hot Meals - update

We hope to be moving towards serving hot meals very soon and are currently trying to plan the logistics of this so that pupils remain in their class bubbles. We will update you as soon as possible.

Kind Regards

Mrs McMaster
