Bun Fun in P4AM

5th Dec 2019

This week we focused on writing instructions to produce a recipe for making Rice Krispie Buns.  We talked about the ingredients and equipment needed, the words we would use to help with the order and the ‘bossy’ verbs needed to give instructions.  Mrs McLaughlin raided the kitchen cupboards and provided prompts to help us with our writing. We then wrote a set of instructions on how to make Rice Krispie Buns.

Next came the best part.  We tested out our instructions by making the buns.  It also tested our patience as we had to wait for the buns to harden. Finally Mrs McLaughlin said we could eat our buns or take them home - not many made it home! We work really hard in P4 so a treat every now and again is great! Thanks to Charlotte for supervising the bakers.
