Brilliant Effort from the Hockey Team at McCloy Cup Qualifiers 🏑

4th Mar 2026
On Wednesday 4th March, the Hockey Team travelled to Parkhall Integrated to compete in the McCloy Cup Qualifiers.   The girls worked tirelessly throughout the day, showing great determination and teamwork. They produced some excellent passes and strong tackles, and their defensive play was outstanding, conceding only two goals across all of their matches.   A special mention goes to Tilly and Chloe, who both stepped into the goalkeeper role for the first time. They were fantastic, making a number of impressive saves and showing great confidence in goal.   The girls were a real credit to the school, demonstrating excellent teamwork and sportsmanship towards the other teams.   Unfortunately, the team finished third in their group with 4 wins and 2 losses, missing out on second place by just one point. This meant they narrowly missed a place in the semi-finals. Despite this, the girls should be extremely proud of their effort, attitude, and the high standard of hockey they played throughout the day.

Well done girls, we are so proud of you!!🌟
