Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend ART Competition congratulations!

3rd Jun 2026

The Ulster Farmers' Union in partnership with the Bank of Ireland Open Farm Weekend initiative and competition sponsor Asda, challenged pupils across Northern Ireland to put their creative and artistic flare to the test in this year’s competition and we had 3 pupils across the school who were 'Highly Commended'.

A big congratulations to Abram in P2 who was 'Highly Commended' within The Foundation Stage age group where he had to decorate a picture under the theme “Grow it, know it, eat it”.

Then in Key Stage 2 to 2 Primary 7 girls, Abigail and Ingrid, who were also 'Highly Commended' and had been tasked to design a mascot that could be created for the Ulster Farmers’ Union and Open Farm Weekend initiative to promote the theme “Grow it, know it, eat it!”. They also were asked to include a tagline / slogan and 150-200 word reasoning for design. Well done girls!
