Ballymena Primary Schools Hockey Tournament 🌟🏑

24th Apr 2026

Our P7 Hockey Team took part in the Ballymena Primary Schools Hockey Tournament at Ballymena Academy on Friday 24th April, and what a fantastic day it was!☀️

The girls played outstanding hockey throughout, showing great teamwork, determination and skill. There were some brilliant goals and incredible saves that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.

Winning 3 matches and drawing 1, they finished top of their group — an excellent achievement! 🌟 They progressed to the semi-finals, where they faced a strong Clough Primary side. Despite a hard-fought match, they narrowly missed out on a place in the final.

Finishing 4th out of 16 teams is something to be very proud of. The girls demonstrated fantastic sportsmanship, resilience and teamwork from start to finish.

A big thank you also goes to the amazing support from parents who were a great source of encouragement throughout the day — it made a real difference!

Well done girls, we are so proud of you all! 😃
