THIS WEEK (Monday 18th - Friday 22nd May) is National 'Walk to School Week 2026' - see information added to our website last Wednesday regarding this. We plan to all walk to school this Tuesday from 2 starting points - Ballee Baptist Church and Ballee Presbyterian Church - see Parentmail for details. SCHOOL GATES will be closed from 8:45am - 9:15am on Tuesday morning - all teaching staff will be at the church car parks to lead the walk to school. If your child is coming straight to school they will be supervised in the main hall until their teacher/class return from the walk.  | School Trips start this week - P1 & P3 pupils head away for their day trips (please make sure all payments have been made and all permission forms completed) -and our P7 pupils and staff head away on their 3 day adventure packed residential to Newcastle! Enjoy everyone! | Little Stars/Big Stars JUNE bookings open on WEDNESDAY (20th) until next Friday 29th May - See Parentmail for details.  | P2 pupils - Starting from this Thursday (21st May) - on a THURSDAY during the rest of May/June Primary 2 pupils can purchase breaktime snacks from the canteen at breaktime. Please go over the menu with your child (under Parents area- Canteen menus) and if your child would like to have a breaktime snack on a Thursday please send cash with your child. Do you have the BEST teacher in Ballymena? Do you think they deserve a special treat?

The Ballymena BID ‘Treat Your Teacher’ Competition is back and we want you to tell us why your teacher should win!

At Ballymena Means, we know how important teachers and school staff are to our local primary schools. From teachers and classroom assistants to principals, caretakers, dinner staff and office teams,

there are so many people who help make school a happy, supportive and inspiring place to be!

So we want you to tell us why your teacher or school staff member deserves a special thank you this year!

HOW TO ENTER:

 

Option 1 - Letter or Email:

 

Write a letter or email telling us why your chosen teacher or school staff member is so special and why they deserve to win!

P.s. We LOVE handwritten letters and especially if they are colourful with pictures! (Don’t worry – your parents can help you with this too!)
