A visit from the fire fighters

23rd Nov 2018

There was great excitement in Primary 3 today, 23rd November, as the fire fighters came to visit. Two fire fighters came to our class and we had a chance to ask lots of questions which helped us to better understand their work. They showed us how a fire fighter puts on all the different parts of the uniform. Glenda tried on all the gear and then Marley had to try and put it on in the same way in under thirty seconds. Then we went outside to see the fire engine. We had a great time! We all took turns to use the hose to squirt water. It was hard to hold onto! Finally we all had a chance to climb inside the fire engine and take a look around. They showed us all the different equipment on board and explained what it was used for.
