A special final Assembly

24th Jun 2026
While today, Wednesday 24th June 2026 marked the end of our P7 pupils' journey at Camphill Primary School, it was also a particularly special day for Mrs Henderson as it was her final assembly with all the boys and girls.

Mrs Henderson has dedicated 36 years to our school, making a lasting impact on the lives of countless pupils and families. Her commitment, dedication and guidance throughout the years has enriched the lives of so many pupils.

This morning, we celebrated Mrs Henderson’s time at Camphill with a very special ‘not so usual’ Assembly. She was completely surprised as her husband, daughter, son and son-in-law joined us, making the occasion even more memorable.

The pupils began by sharing a song, followed by words from the boys and girls which reflected the impact Mrs Henderson has had on them. They also presented her with a card filled with messages from everyone in the school, along with a picture of our school and a gift cheque.

Mrs Henderson was incredibly touched and grateful for the kindness and appreciation shown by the entire school community.

A big thank you also to the Senior Choir who also took part and to Alison and her staff in the canteen for making Mrs Henderson Retirement cupcakes!

On behalf of everyone at Camphill Primary School, we would like to thank Mrs Henderson for her service to our school and wish her a happy and healthy retirement!
