Big Big Christmas win!! 'SPLIT THE POT' is down to hours ...all entries close at 12noon on Weds - we now have £965 in the pot!! The draw happens on Thursday at 1pm....  | Little Stars/Big Stars JANUARY booking is now OPEN - and will close at 10am on Friday 19th Dec. | Wednesday - Whole School Cinema Trip - all pupils come to school as normal in school uniform. Break snack will be provided by the cinema. All pupils will be back in school for lunch.  | Christmas Party day is this THURSDAY - all classes will be in the hall at a Christmas Disco and hopefully Santa will make a visit to school as well. This will be a non-uniform day. A busy week in Primary 3!

In Primary 3 this week we are taking part in the NSPCC 'Keeping Safe' Programme. We are having three lessons on 'Healthy Relationships'. We are looking at how to say no, in a kind but assertive manner, when we don't want to do something. We are also learning that everyone has the right to be angry sometimes but that they never have the right to hurt us. We are discussing how different actions can cause different types of hurt - hurting us on the outside or hurting us on the inside. We are watching videos, reading stories, role playing a range of scenarios and completing word searches to help us to better understand what makes a healthy relationship. We are also completing three special homeworks to allow our parents to contribute to what we are been learning.

It is also 'Anti-Bullying' week so we are having some lessons to help us to identify the different characteristics of a 'Buddy' and a 'Bully'. We all are really enjoying having the opportunity to design and make an individual 'Anti- Bullying' poster. Some of our work will be included in an 'Anti-Bullying' display outside the cafeteria so remember to have a look next time you visit the school.
