⚽️ Owen Daley Football Tournament ⚽️

10th Oct 2025

On Thursday 9th October, our school Football Team took part in the annual Owen Daley Football Tournament.

We competed against 8 other teams in our group, with the aim of finishing in the top 2, which would mean qualifying for the Semi-Final.

Our day started with 2 extremely tight defeats that could have easily been 2 wins. We then picked up a bit of form and got 3 wins and 2 draws from our next 5 games. This set us up for our final group game v Buick Memorial with our team needing a win to progress to 2nd place and Buick needing just a draw to go through. A tightly contested game ended 0-0 with both teams having the opportunity to win it, meaning Buick progressed to the semi-final, where they met Gracehill PS.

Throughout the day the attitude of the team was excellent and they worked really hard as a team to try and compete in each game.

Goals on the day were scored by - Kade x2, Brooklyn, Nathan and Ryan.

Well done to St Mary’s who were the eventual winners on the day.
