⚽️ Ballymena United Visit Camphill ⚽️

4th Dec 2025

On Thursday 4th December P7 boys welcomed Ballymena United players Kian, Daithi and Zach to Camphill, along with their strength and conditioning coach Glenn.

Our session started outside with some fun games working on shooting and 1v1/2v2 games.

Then we moved indoors out of the cold. In the classroom Glenn explained to us the importance of sleep, diet and training and how all three make a difference to the performance of the players. He gave our pupils an opportunity to take on challenges after the players had shown us how it was done.

We finished with a Q&A, where the pupils asked some interesting questions. They found out how the players got into football and also who the best players were that they had played against; Kian told the boys he had played against Jude Bellingham 😲

We want to thank Ballymena United for this opportunity, we loved having the players and coach in our school and we hope we can welcome them back again.

A special mention to our lollipop man Trevor (A big Ballymena United fan) who came into school today to watch some of the session. He enjoyed meeting the players and told them all about his time as a Ballymena fan dating back to his first game in 1958.
