To Primary 7 from Mrs McMaster & all the staff...........

26th Jun 2020

Dear Everyone

What a lovely afternoon we had today! We really hope that you all enjoyed seeing all the staff and all your classmates for one last time.  Have a look at some of the photos from today below - we definitely saw lots of smiling faces! We are so pleased you all were able to get photos that you can look back on for years to come...……...

We  can hardly believe that we are at the end of June and the end of Primary School for you - our wonderful P7s of 2020.

P7 is a very special year in a child's development and it is very sad that due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our children this year have been denied all the experiences that other children have had in previous years. Nevertheless, the time our children had in school was packed full of learning, fun, laughter and memories and hopefully Camphill PS will always be very special to every P7.

Leaving Primary School can be emotional - children who have been schooled together for seven years suddenly go in different directions moving onto new schools and exciting experiences.  Familiar primary school rituals are replaced by the unknowns of big school, but I am confident that our pupils are ready for the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Always remember, for something to begin, something else has to end - so to the 'Class of 2020' I would say this - 'Don't be afraid of new beginnings - embrace them; Be brave, be positive - look forward, not back; Be courageous about meeting  people, about having a go at something you haven't done before and finally have big dreams and ambitions! Camphill PS and all your teachers have prepared you to be resilient and have equipped you with the knowledge, skills and determination to succeed and overcome any challenges that lie ahead. (Have a look on the JIGSAW & P7 page on the school website for more 'Transition Tips' if you are feeling anxious about your move to Post-Primary at any point over the summer....)

P7s you will always be an important part of Camphill PS and we will miss you all, but you ARE ready to leave us and 'spread your wings'.  We look forward to hearing all about how you settle in at your new schools and we hope that many of you will come back to visit us - we wish you every happiness and success in your new schools.

Best wishes

Mrs McMaster and the Camphill Staff Team
